Cairo Man Sentenced to 20 Years; Found Guilty of Beating Mother

CAIRO, GA (WTXL) - Jarrod Aubrey Miller was found guilty Monday for severely beating his mother in July of 2014.

Miller was found guilty of one count of Aggravated Battery Family Violence by the Grady County Jury.

According to the District Attorney's Office, "Miller intentionally and maliciously struck the face of his mother, Paulette Miller, causing multiple facial fractures, swollen eyes, and a split lip. Paulette Miller later died from unrelated causes in August 2014."

Miller was sentenced to the maximum sentence of 20 years in prison by Chief Judge A. Wallace Cato.
