GRADY CO., GA (WALB) - One person is dead after a head-on collision in Grady County Wednesday morning.

The Thomasville Times-Enterprise reports around 7:30 a.m., Mark Coleman, 29, was traveling east on Pine Park Road, when his 1998 Ford Ranger pickup traveled off the north side of the road, according to Georgia State Patrol Trooper First Class Steven Kornegay.

A Chevrolet Colorado pickup driven by Mauricio Avila, 24, Cairo, was traveling west on Pine Park Road.

"The driver (Coleman) overcorrected and came back on the road and struck the Colorado head-on," said Kornegay.

Coleman was ejected from his vehicle and later pronounced dead at Grady General Hospital in Cairo.

Avilan, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville with non-life-threatening injuries.
