CAIRO, Ga. (WTXL) - A Cairo man is arrested after trying to sell stolen items to two pawn shops in Colquitt County.
The Colquitt County Sheriff's Office says Troy Calvin Carter went into Thomas American Pawn and tried to sell an item that matched the serial number of an item stolen from a home on Sam Harrell Rd.
Deputies say he also tried to sell another item that matched the serial number of something stolen from a home just across the street from where the first burglary was committed.
After further investigation, they found Carter also tried to pawn a stolen item from a third burglary on Indian Lake Drive at the Pawn Depot.
Carter is charged with 1st degree burglary, 2nd degree burglary, and entering auto.
