TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A runner who stood out at the Tallahassee Marathon wore a suit and tie!

Trevor Sununu is a student at Florida State.

He tried Sunday to break the Guiness World Record for fastest marathon run in a business suit.

"It was mostly a fun thing," he said. "I like to try to inspire people. No matter what you try to do, if you're trying to do something and accomplish something, even if it's silly, you have fun with it and you try your best. That's what I always try to do."

The world record is 2 hours and 40 minutes in a business suit.

Sununu was unable to beat that time but says he had a blast trying.

He says he looks forward to trying again next year.
