LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)--Law enforcement officers with the Florida Department of Agriculture are investigating what sparked a brush fire in Leon County.
Twenty acres of brush caught fire at Lake Jackson around 2:45 Sunday afternoon. The person who notified the Tallahassee Fire Department saw heavy smoke near the area of her home behind the 500 block of Brill Point. Tallahassee firefighters used their brush truck to contain the fire.
The Florida Forest Service created barriers around the fire to prevent it from spreading. The Bradfordville Volunteer Fire Department assisted. No injuries or property damage were reported at the scene of the fire.
