TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)- As a part of the 2015 Brotherhood Ride, firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical personnel are riding bicycles across the state of Florida to honor those who have died in the line of duty.

They will end up in Tallahassee later this week, where they will be remembering the life of fallen Leon County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Smith along with 9 other fallen heroes.

30 bikers departed from Naples on Saturday. They will end up in the Capital City this Saturday after travelling nearly 650 miles, riding an average of 80 to 100 miles each day.

Every year, the Brotherhood Ride takes a different route to make sure no officers are forgotten.
