(CNN) - The couple is from different countries and different backgrounds, and depending on from where you're watching, you most likely have different expectations for the royal wedding.
When Prince Harry marries his bride-to-be Meghan Markle on Saturday, will the ceremony contain a mix of British and American traditions?
When Kate Middleton stepped out of the car to marry Prince William, she wasn't the only one dressed in white
Her sister and maid of honor Pippa was wearing the same color, which would be unusual for an American wedding but a long-standing tradition in the UK.
"The girls were in white traditionally because when they would go through the woods in these carriages, no one would know exactly who the bride was in case she was kidnapped," said Lori Allen, owner of Bridals by Lori.
Kate Middleton also entered the church first.
"So if you're at an American wedding, the bride is last person entering. If you're at a wedding in Britain, the bridesmaids are the last people entering because they keep her train straight and that sort of thing," Allen said.
If the pair follows tradition, Prince Harry won't get a glimpse of his bride until she reaches the altar.
While guests at all weddings are expected to dress up, there will be a little something extra worn by attendees at the royal wedding.
"So protocol for a royal wedding is you must wear a hat, and I love that. I wish this would come over to the States," Allen said.
And once the ceremony is over, it will be the best man, Prince William, in the spotlight, offering the traditional toast speech.
"To be a best man is obviously a privilege, but the pressure is on," said Mandy Visser Markham, operations manager at the Wedding Club.
And where this happy-go-lucky couple is concerned, there shouldn't be any shortage of material.
