TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--"I love beer," said Byron Burroughs, the owner of Proof Brewery Company. "I've always been into beer that."
Burroughs says Florida's hand crafted beer industry is thriving and he's proud to be apart of it. He's the owner of Proof Brewing Company. He says it's the only licensed brewery in Tallahassee.
"The market has grown so much in the last four or five years when we first opened up Proof Pub there was only a handful of places that were even attempting to serve craft beer and now it's as it should be available in every restaurant bar in town," said Burroughs.
He says Florida brewers are making some of the best beers in the world.
Larry Agee brews the beer at Proof. He's taking a look to see if the beer is ready to be kegged.
It's not just about beer at Proof Brewing Company, Burroughs is hoping to keep college students here in Tallahassee after
they graduate.
"Our whole aspect is about job creation and bringing notoriety to the city with the business and the commercial industry we create," said Burroughs.
Burroughs says they are expanding, by the summer they hope to sell and distribute their beer out of town and they're hiring.
