TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--A nonprofit organization that is all about protecting children and nurturing families is getting ready to put on its annual Boots for Babies event.

The event is happening at Shiloh Farms. It's a big fundraiser that also helps the Brehon House which serves pregnant women experiencing homelessness.

The organization is celebrating 40 years. Jackie Malone, the executive director, stopped by our WTXL Midday studio on Wednesday to reflect on the decades of service to the Big Bend.

The event is Friday from 6-9 p.m. at at Shiloh Farms on Benjamin Chaires Road. Tickets are still available for $75.

WTXL is a proud sponsor of this event! Boots for Babies will feature live music, catered food, and a silent auction. Enjoy some toasty marshmallows on the bonfire.
