TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - This weekend marks the start of college football in Tallahassee with FAMU hosting its season opener tomorrow.

Bragg Memorial Stadium has been going through repairs over the summer but is it ready for the Rattlers?

We're less than 24 hours from kickoff and crews are putting some finishing touches here at Bragg Memorial Stadium.

We were here in June, when officials said there were still structural issues to handle, the goal was to have them fixed before football season begins. A university official has confirmed that all of the repairs have been made for the first phase of a five-year renovation plan.

The Rattlers hope to have a sold-out crowd here and even more eyes with a nationally televised game.

Crews have installed sound systems, painted the field, and replaced old signs.

New stairways have been installed and painted. The rows closest to the field have been redone, too.

The project is fully funded, and more repairs are expected later. We reached out to FAMU's athletic director to learn more, but he was unavailable.

But for now, the stadium will be ready to welcome another season of FAMU Football.

The game will be broadcasted on ESPNU.
