THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--The woman found dead in Thomasville is identified, and a suspect is charged with her murder.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says 29-year-old Debra Denise Thigpen was found dead behind a home at 1021 North Stevens Street.
Police and the GBI arrested 34-year-old Sidney Jerome McKinney, Jr. and charged him with felony murder. He was arrested at 10:30 Sunday night.
Investigators believe Thigpen and McKinney were fighting.
Thigpen's body was taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Macon for an autopsy to determine her exact cause of death.
