SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL/WFTV) - A 7-year-old boy with autism has been found dead in a pond in Seminole County Sunday after he was reported missing, according to police.
Our ABC affiliate, WFTV, said the Seminole County Sheriff's Office had been looking for Humza Mohammad Syed since he was reported missing Saturday night.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement also issued a Florida Missing Child Alert for Syed early Sunday morning.
According to Seminole County deputies, he was last seen at 8:45 p.m. at his home and was wearing a gray shirt and navy blue shorts.
Deputies stated Syed had autism and was nonverbal so he may not have responded to his name.
