AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Richmond County authorities are investigating the death of a 41-year-old man who was found floating in a canal near the Augusta Judicial Center.
Multiple media outlets report that Mark Anthony Ellison's body was found Tuesday afternoon. Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says the body had been in the canal for several days. He says it is too early to determine if there is any suspicion of foul play.
Ellison's body will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy.
