POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say they're working to identify a dead body that was discovered following a fire at a South Florida storage facility.
A Broward Sheriff's Office news release says Pompano Beach firefighters responded to Storage Post Self Storage Monday morning after a renter saw smoke coming from one of the units.
The release says rescuers forced their way into the unit to put out the flames. They found the body of a man as they moved throughout the unit.
The body was transported to the medical examiner's office to determine the man's identity and cause of death.
