TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency is hosting a community meeting to discuss the Airport Gateway Project.

The goal of the project is to provide roadway improvements and beautification to roads that lead to FSU and FAMU's campuses from the airport, including Springhill Road and North Lake Bradford Road.

They are going to be talking about those proposed improvements and modifications that you mentioned, among others, and they'll be looking for input from residents and business leaders.

Tuesday night, Blueprint will set up maps, drawings, and other information, showing what's proposed for the airport gateway project. The project team is also going to deliver a presentation, and then there will be a question and answer session.

They want to get people's input on improvements such as sidewalks, bike lanes and landscaping to Springhill Road, Lake Bradford Road, and Stuckey Avenue. They are also suggesting adding a new road through the southwest side of Florida State University's campus.

And in order to do all of this, they may need to acquire some land on Stuckey Avenue and Orange Avenue.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Pineview Elementary School on Lake Bradford Road. This is one of five public meetings scheduled between now and November 15th.

Area residents are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming meetings listed below:

  • Monday, November 13 at 6 p.m. at the Tallahassee Museum, 3945 Museum Road
  • Wednesday, November 15 at 6 p.m. at the Pineview Elementary School Cafeteria, 2230 Lake Bradford Road
