TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Small business owners and people looking to start a business will have a place to do that while getting some help all on the southside of Tallahassee.
WTXL ABC's Jada Williams was live Friday morning with details on the house where bright ideas will grow.
The Blue House will house people looking to grow an existing business and those looking to get one off of the ground, right inside a blue house just outside of FAMU's campus.
FAMU alum Dominique Bercy bought the blue house to live in during her time as a student at FAMU.
For the last 10 years, she's been renting it out to students, but decided that the house could touch even more people.
That's when she got the idea to help up-and-coming business leaders get a chance to network in a co-working space while also receiving vital tips and help from people in the marketing world and those excelling in the business world.
"I think having home literally positioned right where it is, just outside of campus," Bercy said. "It's bright, it's blue, it's a breath of fresh air. I think it is an excellent way to start re imagining the Southside and start re-imagining what we can do with the Bond community."
On Saturday the Blue House is hosting an expo, where people will set up their products on the lawn for students and community members to buy and learn more about.
