JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Blountstown man is facing charges after getting caught with drugs in Jackson County.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was patrolling on River Road in Sneads on Saturday when he pulled over 28-year-old Casey Moore for a traffic infraction. Officials say the deputy observed Moore concealing a hypodermic syringe in between the front passenger seat and the center console.
Deputies say a search of the vehicle turned up a hypodermic syringe and a large spoon that contained a partially melted crystallized substance, which field-tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. The deputy also reports finding two hypodermic syringes and a baggie containing a white residue were recovered. The residue also field-tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
Moore was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await his first court appearance.
Charges: (1) Possession of methamphetamine
(2) Possession of drug paraphernalia
