Black Friday shopping kicks off a day early

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It seems like Black Friday gets earlier and earlier every year, and that's no different for Best Buy.

The electronics giant is opening its doors Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. to welcome in eager shoppers.

This year, they're even marketing to those looking for a new toy retailer, since Toys R Us isn't opening this year.

But of course, they're anticipating people to come in for smart home devices, iPhone's, and TV's.

The store's general manager says the shoppers are excited to get those deals as soon as possible, and the workers anticipate the excitement that comes along with those deals as well.

"We've been working for the last two weeks just setting the merchandise around the store and getting ready to go. We have security coming in, we have barricades coming up, we have a ticket process. Everything is very controlled when everyone comes into the store for Thursday night and Friday," said Mark Miller.

Miller said  that even though Best Buy is opening its doors Thursday evening, there are still new and exciting deals that people will be lined up for come Black Friday.
