Tallahassee, FL (#WTXLdigital) -- A recording studio dedicated to showcasing science is the newest addition to Florida State University's Dirac Library... And who better to kick off the grand opening then the highly televised Bill Nye The Science Guy.
The broadcast studio was unveiled on September 16th with the help of Bill Nye. Afterwards, he gave a lecture to students with the goal of empowering youth to get involved with science.
The new studio comes from GEOSET, The Global Educational Outreach for Science Engineering and Technology, a company working to build a global network of broadcast studios that feeds into a database of educational material.
The GEOSET website hosts all of the presentations that are free to watch and share online.
Anyone from high school students, science hobbyists and university professors can use the new studio in Tallahassee because GEOSET is open to the public and welcomes everyone in the community to share their work.
GEOSET's main criteria for presenters is that they are passionate about the material and can convey that enthusiasm to viewers.
