TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend will host a fundraising event with a Great Gatsby theme on Friday, August 23. It will take place at Hotel Duval’s Horizon Ballroom (415 North Monroe Street) .
The event, dubbed “The Great BIG Bash,” will include live swing music, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, photos, and free champagne. It is the fourth annual gathering of its kind, and more than 300 participants are scheduled to attend.
The cost is $75 for single tickets and $140 for couples (two tickets). A group of ten tickets is $650. All proceeds will go toward helping Big Brothers Big Sisters provide mentoring for local children. The agency matches over 350 children each year with one-on-one mentors. With new funding, the agency expects to serve over 450 children in the coming year.
