TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Big Brothers and Sisters picked up presents Friday for their little's.
Those presents handed out by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend included Lego sets, make up, and "caboodle kits."
The organization received the donations from Walmart and used them to help big's get gifts for their little siblings.
Friday was the big day to pick up those gifts.
Officials said they were able to provide gifts for dozens of children ages 10 and under.
One big said it was a great opportunity to make their little's day the best it could be.
All toys given out at the event, were new and in their original packaging. They were picked up from between 10 in the morning and 3 p.m. at the FSU Credit Union.
Organizers said that they are in constant need of Bigs, with over 400 kids on the waiting list.
Volunteers are asked to commit to one year and mentoring a minimum of 4 hours a month. You can sign up and learn more online at www.bigbendmentoring.org or call their office when they reopen on January 4th at 850-386-6002.
