TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A 24-year-old bicyclist is dead after a two car accident on North Monroe Friday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Scott Tyler Dewert was killed when he was riding his bicycle on the 3000 block of North Monroe.
A woman was trying to turn North out of the Envision Credit Union driveway, when the front of her Nissan hit Dewert, said FHP. Dewert was thrown off of his bicycle and was hit by another car traveling down North Monroe, according to the report.
The accident happened just before 4 a.m. Emergency crews closed part of North Monroe while they were investigating the scene.
