BROOKS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--A bicyclist is dead after an accident involving a tractor-trailer in Brooks County.
Georgia State Patrol troopers say 28-year-old Karl Mitchell Thompson of Butler, Florida was riding east along Highway 84, west of Dixie Thursday afternoon at 12:10. That's when a tractor-trailer also heading east, hit the bicycle.
According to troopers, the truck was driven by 36-year-old Phillip Ely of Hahira.
Charges are pending. The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating.
