TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Saint Francis Wildlife Association said they are in need of volunteers to be foster parents to orphaned baby squirrels.

St. Francis has more than 120 baby squirrels and they said a dozen more arrive every day. To become a squirrel foster mom or dad, you have to be at least 18.

Wildlife officials will help you learn how to care for them and then, when you're ready, you can take a few to care for at home. St. Francis will supply the syringes and formula needed to feed the baby squirrels.

The orphans are released in a safe squirrel habitat when they are approximately three months old. If you would like to volunteer, call (850)-627-4151 or click here
