VALDOSTA, GA. (WTXL) - Valdosta firefighters and police take part in a friendly competition to help save lives.
Dubbed " The Battle of the Badges", all day Thursday city workers, retirees and the community came out to roll up their sleeves and donate blood.
Police Chief Brian Childress and Fire Chief Freddie Broome with the City of Valdosta both agree the true winners are the recipients of the donations.
For those willing to donate to a good cause, there is still time to get your donation in.
