TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A barbershop in Tallahassee has linked up with a community health center to bring awareness to prostate cancer.
The Fade Barbershop has teamed up with the Bond Community Health Center to make sure that all men who enter the barbershop are reminded to check on their health.
State Representative Allan Williams visited the barber shop Friday morning. Members from the Florida A&M College of Pharmacy were also there to answer questions form concerned men and women.
"Their going to be able to share a lot of information they received today especially from Bond Clinic and the awareness of it and prostate cancer... So hopefully now with the information we received we can share it with our customers," said Marlon Williams, the Fade Barbershop owner.
The Center for Disease Control said that prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men. To find out more information on prostate cancer, call the Bond Community Health Center at (850) 576-4073.
