Barbershop Hosts Community Day for Local Kids

TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- A local barber shop is giving back to the citizens of Tallahassee with their first Community Day.

The South Monroe Barbershop held its event for the first time Saturday all in support of the foster care children at the One Church One Child, along with Kids from he Boys Town Tallahassee Chapter.

The Barbershop gave out free haircuts for the back to school season. Officials from Tobacco Free Florida were also on hand educating kids about the effects of Tobacco use.

The shop says today was all about children and showing them how much the community cares. Over 50 participants from other organizations took part.
