Banning Smoking While Driving

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - A south Florida democrat is looking to pass a Bill in the state that would ban smoking cigarettes while driving if kids are in the car.

Senator Jeff Clemens filed the bill on Wednesday. The Bill would prohibit smoking in a vehicle if a child under the age of 13 is present.

The Bill is expected to be considered during the legislative session starting on March third.

If passed, the Bill would lead to smokers being cited for non moving violations if they don't comply.
