Bainbridge Residents Being Warned of Possible Mail Scam

BAINBRIDGE, GA (WTXL) - Bainbridge residents are being warned of a possible mail scam by Bainbridge Public Safety Officers.

BPS says some area residents have received letters through the mail saying they they have won a prize for being a customer at Wal-Mart, Sears, Home Depot , Safeway, and ASDA.

A check for "part" of the prize is included with the letter, according to BPS.

Officers are warning that even though the letters may seem official, they are not and are advising residents who may have been scammed to call Bainbridge Public Safety at 229-248-2038.
