BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - A live-fire training gave firefighters an opportunity to practice their skills.
The firefighters set a fire at a condemned house on MLK Jr. Drive.
The house was condemned by Code Enforcement and had to go through a permit process to be approved for demolition.
Bainbridge Fire Chief Doyle Welch discussed the training.
"We've done arson training class, reading smoke," he said. "We done some flow pass training and ventilation, a defensive tactic to keep it from burning anyone else's house after it gets to the point we couldn't use it anymore for training."
Smoke could be seen traveling through the building.
