BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - Three people are behind bars after officers received a tip they were bringing a car full of illegal drugs to Bainbridge from Atlanta.
Bainbridge Public Safety reports that they received a tip on Tuesday about a car carrying illegal drugs from Atlanta to Bainbridge.
The information lead officers to stop a vehicle while it was traveling on Hwy 27.
When officers approached the stopped vehicle, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The three occupants were asked to step out of the car, which they did, and they consented to a search of the vehicle.
During the search, a "hidden compartment" was found. Inside the compartment, officer found several bags wrapped with black tape:
- 7 clear plastic bags containing a green leafy type substance, suspected to be marijuana
- 4 clear plastic bags containing pills, suspected to be MDMA (Ecstasy/Molly)
- Clear plastic bag containing 37 pills, suspected to be MDMA (Ecstasy/Molly) Clear plastic bag containing 29 white pills (unknown)
- Clear plastic bag containing 4 pills, suspected to be MDMA (Ecstasy/Molly)
- Clear plastic bag containing a white pill (unknown)
- Clear plastic bag containing a white substance (unknown)
- Clear plastic bag containing one green pill (unknown)
- One pink pill (unknown)
They also found suspected marijuana in the a passenger compartment.
Based on the evidence, the three occupants were arrested and charged. Their charges are as follows:
- Marco DeAnglo Jackson, age 39, of Bainbridge - Vehicle With False or Secret Compartments (Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Distribute (Felony) and Trafficking in Methamphetamines (Felony)
- Bernard ONeal Watson, age 47, of Bainbridge - Vehicle With False or Secret Compartments (Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Distribute (Felony) and Trafficking in Methamphetamines (Felony)
- Tiffany Michele Cooper, age 37, of Bainbridge - Vehicle With False or Secret Compartments (Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Distribute (Felony) and Trafficking in Methamphetamines (Felony)
