BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - Fourth of July celebrations are underway at the Bainbridge Boat Basin.
A concert just started at the performing arts center.
Local band, "the Flint River Band" is the first to perform. After that, "the Rivertown Band" from Jacksonville will take the stage.
This is an annual event that the City of Bainbridge and local sponsors put on each year. Organizers say they expect thousands of people to come out and celebrate.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their lawn chair or pull up their boat and enjoy the show. The event will be going on until 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
Fireworks will light up the sky once the sun sets.
