TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- It may be time for back to school, but at the TCC Wakulla Environmental Institute, that just means back to the great outdoors!
The school has several programs for those interested in the environmental field, whether as a potential career or just for fun.
Here's WEI's description of the courses:
- Environmental Science A.S. Degree- provides students with specific knowledge to work in the areas of water quality analysis, natural resource management, and environmental monitoring.
- Green Guides- The 90-hour certification course, mixed with both classroom and field trip experiences, is designed for job seekers looking for employment in a nature-based field or entrepreneurs interested in starting a nature-based business.
- Intro to Unmanned Technology- This unique twelve-week hybrid program focuses on how to use aerial, surface and underwater unmanned vehicles, or drones, in different environmental applications.
- Intro to Diving- This semester-long course gives students a first look at the field of scientific diving. t the end of the course, students will earn their recreational Professional Association of Diving Instructors License (PADI) and rebreather certification.
