TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Awesome Tallahassee has announced that it gave this month's award of $1,000 to help a local non-profit theater get an autism movement therapy dance floor. 

Wednesday night, the Making Light Theater was awarded the grant by Awesome Tallahassee to fund the dance floor, which will make it the only one of its kind in the region. 

Making Light Productions is non-profit organization with the mission of giving an inclusive theatre arts education to children of all abilities. They also work to provide job opportunities for adults with disabilities. 

The non-profit was founded by Mandi Broadfoot and Juliet Yaques who are both mothers to children with autism.
