TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A group called Awesome Tallahassee is handing out $1,000 dollar grants to people in the community who think of ways to improve the area.
The grants will be awarded on a monthly basis, with applications for the first grant due on January 15, 2015.
The organization has more than 75 chapters around the world and has funded more than 1200 projects with $1.2 million dollars.
Money for the Tallahassee grants comes from 10 founding micro-trustees.
