MACON, Ga. (WTXL) - Authorities are searching for a teenager who they say shot a 7-year-old boy in the head in Bibb County.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said that they have issued warrants for 17-year-old Kentrellis Davreon Barnes of Macon.
They said that Barnes is wanted for criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, and cruelty to children.
Deputies say that Barnes had gotten into an argument at a store with three other men on Saturday. One of the people Barnes got into an argument with was 18-year-old Shedderck Wallace, the victim's older brother.
They said that Wallace told his mother, Shatoya Jackson, that Barnes had shot at him and at their home on Woolfolk Street after the argument, causing her to go look for Barnes.
When she found Barnes on Fulton Street, he walked up to her car, threatened her, pulled a gun on her, and shot at the car, hitting 7-year-old Edgerin Wallace in the head as Jackson drove away.
Deputies say Edgerin Wallace is listed in stable but critical condition at the Navicent Health Medical Center.
Barnes is described as being six feet two inches tall a hundred and eighty pounds with medium skin and medium build with twists in his hair. A 2016 photograph of Barnes is depicted above, but does not show his current hairstyle.
