TROUP COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Authorities in Georgia are investigating after a newborn baby was found dead inside a portable cooler bag.
The Troup County Sheriff's Office says that the baby was found Sunday afternoon along the side of the road. The child's body was inside a portable cooler bag.
Deputies say witnesses told them that the bag had been on the side of the road for several days.
They say the bag is light blue with pictures of watermelon slices and zips at the top, front and sides.
