WAKULLA, FL (WTXL) - Officials are investigating the death of a Wakulla inmate who died Sunday.
Jose Santana died on Sunday at the Wakulla Correctional Annex, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Officers say a medical examiner will determine the cause of death and that FDLE is using all available resources to complete the investigation. Until then, this is being considered an active and open criminal investigation.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections website, Santana was incarcerated in October of 2014 for drug trafficking.
