LAKE CITY, FL (WTXL) - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the death of a 16-month-old child found dead in a Lake City car.
FDLE is saying they were asked by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) to investigate because the two parents are employees of the 3rd Judicial Circuit of Florida.
The mother is assistant state attorney Wendy Timonera Kwon and the father is assistant public defender Young Kwon according to a FDLE press release.
The press release states that the, "Initial information provided to responding CCSO deputies indicated the child's father forgot to take her to daycare that morning and did not discover her until he returned home [Tuesday] afternoon."
