VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Investigators are searching for one or more people responsible for robbing a South Georgia pizza restaurant.

Valdosta Police say Zoner's Pizza off of North Ashley Street, was robbed around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday night.

There was a gun involved though police won't say how much money they stole.

Jessie Cole works at the car dealership less than 50 feet away. He believes this only happened because it was late at night and dark outside.

"I think that was just a crime of opportunity less than if they would have targeted that sort of business no matter where they were located in town, just because the opportunity presented itself, somebody coming out of the back door and their robbing the pizza guy, but no I don't think it has anything to do neighborhood around here," said Cole.

If you have any information on the robbery, you are asked to call 911.
