SAN DIEGO (AP) — Authorities say a taunting tweet from a California fugitive said "catch me if you can."
They did.
Wanda Podgurski was nabbed in Mexico on the Fourth of July after authorities say she sent a series of tweets to the San Diego district attorney. Podgurski appeared before a judge on Monday.
The 60-year-old fugitive was convicted in absentia last month and sentenced to more than 20 years in prison in an insurance scam.
Weeks after her initial tweet, authorities say she wrote, "'Help find me before I con anyone else.'"
