ANADARKO, Okla. (AP) - The attorney for an Oklahoma man tied to a gambling probe that led to the resignation of Florida's lieutenant governor says his client has done nothing wrong.
Chase Burns faces racketeering and other charges in connection with the case. His father and attorney, Tony Burns of Anadarko, said Wednesday his son is merely a software provider who sold an Internet service but did not operate Internet cafes in Florida where illegal gambling allegedly occurred.
Tony Burns says the products his son sold were used in a way that wasn't intended.
He also denied allegations that Chase Burns made tens of millions of dollars in the gaming scheme but would not say how much he made.
An extradition hearing for Chase Burns is set April 12 in Caddo CountSave without closingy District Court.
