TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- The Attorney General's Office is Warning Florida Lawyers of a new scam involving emails purported to come from Pam Bondi.
Many members of the Florida Bar are receiving emails saying their businesses are being sued by the state.
According to reports, a link in the email claiming to be an official complaint against the company, may put Malware on the Attorney's Computer.
Friday, the Attorney General's Office had received 59 complaints from Lawyers across Florida about the impostor scam.
Whitney Rays, a spokeswoman for the Attorney General says, the actual number of Attorney's who got the Hoax email is likely much higher and any lawyer who gets the scam email should immediately report it by calling 1-866-9NO-SCAM or through the website
