CINCINNATI (AP) - An attorney for the family of a man fatally shot by police at an Ohio Wal-Mart says surveillance video shows he "was killed without justification or cause"
Attorney Michael Wright made the statement Tuesday following a meeting with state Attorney General Mike DeWine, whose office is investigating the Aug. 5 shooting of 21-year-old John Crawford III in the Dayton suburb of Beavercreek.
DeWine said shortly after the meeting he showed Crawford's relatives and their attorney 4 minutes of surveillance video of the shooting. He declined to discuss details of the video and emphasized the investigation is ongoing.
DeWine says a special grand jury will begin considering whether charges are appropriate against Beavercreek officers beginning Sept. 3.
Beavercreek police have said the shooting was justified.
Bentonville, Arkansas-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. provided material to law enforcement officials for their investigation.
