ATLANTA (AP) — A city worker in Atlanta is dead after being struck by a falling tree limb.
A fire department spokesman says the employee was cutting a tree limb in northwest Atlanta on Monday morning when the branch came down.
The spokesman says the limb fell on the worker, knocking him from the bucket truck he was using for the project. A photo from the scene after the accident shows a broken bucket still elevated in the air after it was hit by a large limb.
Authorities haven't yet released the name of the victim.
