TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Thanks to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, visually impaired children will be able to participate in an Easter egg hunt this year.

ATF has announced their 3rd Annual Beeping Easter Egg Hunt. The annual event allows these children to participate in a holiday tradition that is usually not accessible to them.

The eggs that law enforcement officers will be building are designed to look and feel like regular Easter eggs but, in addition to the usual bright colors, these eggs beep very loudly when activated by a switch.

An ATF special agent started this annual tradition twelve years ago after learning his then 4-month-old daughter was blind.

The 3rd Annual Beeping Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 31st from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at James Messer Park in Tallahassee.

You can order your own beeping eggs here.
