TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Memorial Hospital will soon be opening up a new facility that will add 28 operating rooms and more than 70 adult medical/surgical intensive care beds to the hospital.
Tallahassee Memorial Hospital will be hosting a "topping off" ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28 in Magnolia Lobby at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
Colleagues, medical staff, and volunteers will be signing the final steel beam of the new addition at the event.
The M.T. Mustian Center, the official name of this new facility, will contain 28 operating rooms, which will replace all existing operating rooms, 4 interventional suites for neurosurgical and vascular procedures and 72 adult medical/surgical intensive care beds of which 60 will be operational upon opening of the Center and shelled-in space for the remaining 12 beds.
The event will be celebrating a milestone in development for the new center. The center will be 340,000 square foot expansion to the main campus of TMH.
Mark O’Bryant, the President and CEO of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, will speak at the ceremony.
