BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Two men are facing felony drug charges after a drug bust in Bainbridge.

Fred Wayne Walker, 28, and Christopher Julian Amos, 24, are charged with possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamines and possession of a controlled substance and drug-related objects.

On July 2, just after midnight, an officer was patrolling at the Big Slough Landing off of River Road when he saw a red truck parked way off of the roadway in the trees. The officer made contact with Walker and Amos, who were inside the truck. The men stated that they were fishing.

The officer surveyed the surroundings and noticed that there were two fishing poles in the water and a small campfire. He also noticed a brown backpack on the ground, and asked the men for consent to search the bag, to which they agreed.

Inside the backpack was a baggie containing a crystal-like substance, and a glass pipe with residue in it.

K-9 officers were called to the scene. A search of the truck uncovered a set of digital scales, several butane torches, and a pill holder containing suspected methamphetamine.
