3 Arrested for Forgery in Valdosta

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Three people have been arrested for forgery and Valdosta Police say they are still looking for a fourth.

According to the Valdosta Police Department, Christopher Crumpton, Malinda Spargo and Joseph Jackson were arrested on August 26.

Police say the three were passing the checks at local stores including Publix, Walmart, and Winn Dixie.

Their charges are as follows:

Christopher Crumpton has been charged with 4 count of forgery in the 4th PTC (misd), one count of theft by deception PTC (misd), and one count of littering (misd).

Malinda Spargo has been charged with 3 counts of forgery in the 4th and one count theft by deception (misd).

Joseph Jackson has been charged with 2 counts of forgery in the 4th (party to the crime), one count of forgery in the 4th, and one count of theft by deception (party to the crime) (misd).

Police say they are still looking for Curtis Crumpton who is wanted for four counts of forgery and theft by deception. Curtis is believed to have been the person who made the checks.
