VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Two people are arrested in connection to a Valdosta armed robbery. The incident took place Sunday, August 17th around 6:44 p.m. at the Family Dollar on East Central Avenue.
Police say Cecil Williams walked into the Family Dollar with a handgun wrapped in a t-shirt. They say he then took an undisclosed amount of money and took off. Police say he then jumped in a Dodge Magnum driven by Alicia Sault. The two were later stopped and arrested after a traffic stop just inside of Clinch County.
Sault is being charged with armed robbery-party to the crime, while Williams is being charged with armed robbery. The case is still under investigation and other charges may be filed.
No one was hurt during the robbery or arrest.
